The Town of Lakewood Village Water Department includes various municipal
services such as water, wastewater (sewer), and refuse collection. The
Town owns and operates the water production system as well as the
wastewater plant. Garbage services are provided on a contract basis
with Allied Waste.
All residents are required to purchase water from the Town; individual
wells are not permitted. Waterfront homeowners may irrigate with water
from Lake Lewisville after obtaining the required permits from
Dallas
Water Utilities and also from the
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
All new water customers must complete a
water application form and
pay a
deposit ($200.00) prior to receiving water service. The deposit is
refundable when the account is closed and the final bill is paid.

Ordinance
07-13. Residents receive one itemized bill each month for water,
wastewater, and garbage services. To
pay
your water bill, either make payment online with a credit card, or
mail or drop off a payment to Town Hall at 100 Highridge Drive, Lakewood
Village, TX 75068.
Trash service, provided by Allied Waste, includes two 90 gallon containers
with weekly scheduled pickups on Monday and Recycling pickup every other
Monday. Additionally, “bulk” trash
collection occurs on the second Tuesday of every other month. Residents
are permitted to dispose of any non-hazardous materials, including
unbundled brush clippings, of up to 10 cubic yards (approximately three
pickup truck loads).
Items That CAN Be
Recycled:
Mixed Residential Paper: Newspaper, inserts, magazines,
paperboard boxes, mail, junk mail, office paper, phone books, paperback
books, and flattened cardboard.
Cans: Food, beverage and softdrink cans composed of tin,
steel or aluminum; other clean cans of the same material.
Glass: Unbroken food and beverage containers that are
clear, brown, or green in color.
Plastic HDPE (milk and detergent bottles), PET (primarily
soft drink containers) bottles generally referred to as one and two
liter soft drink, milk, juice, water, shampoo, liquid soap, plastic
containers with #1 through #7 recycling sysbol on the bottom of the
container.
Items That CANNOT Be Recycled:
Household trash, aluminum foil, auto/window glass, ceramics,
china/dishes, drink boxes with straws, hardcover books, light bulbs,
waxed milk and juice cartons, plastic grocery sacks, styrofoam cups -
plates - or peanuts, plastic toys, waxed paper/food containers, yard
waste, plastic glass or metal containers that held hazardous materials
such as motor oil, paint, pesticide or weed killer.
